I am directed to state that as part of Preventive Measures against Novel
Corona Virus (COVID-19), various preventive measures are being taken by
Public Department and all the staff and Visitors of Secretariat have been
instructed to wear face masks, maintain social distancing and use of hand
sanitizer/soap etc. However, it has been observed that some of the staff/visitors
are not wearing face masks in the Secretariat premises which is in violation of the
above instruction.
2. Further, in view of COVID-19 pandemic, the Government in the G.O first
cited has declared the following offences, among other things, as compoundable
under sub-section(2) of Section 76, of the Tamil Nadu Public Health Act, 1939 as
specified in column (2) of the Table for the amount specified in the corresponding
entry in column (3) thereof.
