APPOINTMENT OF VICE-CHANCELLOR
SEARCH COMMITTEE NOTIFICATION
The Government of Tamil Nadu vide G.O. (Ms.) No.438, Health and Family Welfare
(MCA-2) Department, dated 8.10.2021 have constituted a Search Committee to recommend a
panel of three names to The Hon'ble Governor-Chancellor for selection of Vice-Chancellor,
The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai.
The Search Committee invites applications for the post of Vice-Chancellor, The Tamil Nadu
Dr.M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai from distinguished academicians with highest level of
competence, integrity, morals, institutional commitment and possessing the educational
qualification and work experience as notified by the Government of Tamil Nadu in their G.O.
Ms.No.494, Health and Family Welfare (MCA-2) Department, dated 23.10.2018 and published in
Tamil Nadu Government Gazette vide Extraordinary Gazette No.363, dated 23.10.2018 copy of
which is available in The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University Website www.tnmgrmu.ac.in.
The Vice-Chancellor shall hold the office for a period of three years (provided that the person
appointed as Vice-Chancellor shall retire from office, if, during the term of office, he/she attains
the age of 70 years).
Interested candidates possessing the required qualifications and experience may
download the prescribed application format from the website of The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R.
Medical University. The filled-in application shall be sent (only in the prescribed format) by Speed
Postor in person or through representative duly superscribing the Envelope "Application for the
post of Vice-Chancellor, The Tamil Nadu Dr.M.G.R. Medical University" so as to reach the
following address on or before 5.00 P.M. of 31 December, 2021.

The advance copy of the application may be sent to the e-mail tnmgrmuvcsearch2021@gmail.com.
It will be taken into consideration only on receipt of the filled-in application along with copies
of the documents in support of the qualification and experience, etc., within the above stipulated
time. Applications received after publication of the notification in the website/newspaper alone will
be considered but not those received after the closing date.
